Lead Housekeeper
Our Island is looking for a Lead Housekeeper to join our team!
Our Island is a property management agency offering a curated selection of holiday homes & guesthouses across Waiheke Island. We are looking for a committed and experienced Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team. You will be working within a small team and given a lot of autonomy and benefits. You must have the ability to work around our housekeeping schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support a dedicated team, setting the standard for impeccable housekeeping and laundry services that reflect the Our Island brand.
Co-ordinate property turnovers using our Property Management Software and booking calendar.
Clean, prepare and maintain properties to a high-standard for guest arrivals.
Ensure all guest amenities and supplies are replenished at each property.
Co-ordinate and manage linen supplies, including placing orders and pickups/drop-offs.
Liaise directly with the Maintenance and Garden teams to ensure properties are up to standard.
Co-ordinate and manage additional staff as/when required to complete housekeeping duties.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in professional cleaning and/or hospitality management or a similar role.
Leadership: Strong team leadership and management skills with experience in supervising staff.
Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
Organisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in property management systems or similar, booking engines, and other related software.
Problem Solving: Quick decision-making ability, especially under pressure or in emergency situations.
Must live on Waiheke Island with intention to stay.
Must have valid work rights for NZ.
Valid drivers license is essential for this role.
